We all like a meal that can be prepared quickly and is also tasty for our family. Chicken is a meat that you can cook in less time than many other things. There are so many different recipes that can be made from chicken. One great dish is a homemade chicken pot pie. It is easy to make and your family will enjoy it. This one is made using bisquick for the crust and is just delicious.

 

To make it you will need 1 cup reduced fat bisquick, ½ cup of skim milk, 3 egg whites, 2 cups frozen mixed veggies thawed, it is optional but you can add a jar of sliced mushrooms, 2 cups cooked chicken, 2 cans of Mushroom soup. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Mix the veggies, chicken soup and the chicken together and pour into a casserole dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Get another bowl and mix the bisquick, milk, and egg together. Pour this mixture over the top of the chicken mixture. Bake this for about 30 minutes. This recipe can be found at here.

 

There are a lot of dishes that can be cooked in 1 hour or less. Many of them are prepared with chicken since it cooks quickly. Vegetables are a quick cooked meal to and can be added to any meat recipe for a great meal that is quick and easy to prepare and cook. Asparagus is a good tasting and healthy  vegetable that can be prepared several different ways.
