Making s'mores is a past time favorite for campers. However, some people don't have the luxury of camping and have to make indoor s'mores. Making s'mores no matter what route you take is very easy and fun to do. It's a great family activity to do that everyone will love. The most common way to make a s'more is over a camp fire. First gather up some Graham crackers, large marshmallows, and sweetened chocolate bars. The brands do not matter, it's just your personal preference. However, the traditional is getting Hershey's, Kraft, and Kebler.
Once you get your camp fire going and pretty hot, grab a long stick with a sharp end to it. Have an adult carve a point at the end of the stick if no sharp one is found. Marshmallow sticks can also be purchased at local retail stores. Place a marshmallow or two at the end of the stick and hold it above the fire just enough to brown the marshmallow. If you like your marshmallow burnt, then simply let your marshmallow catch on fire and blow it out after about three seconds.
Once you have your marshmallow the way you want it, have a whole Graham cracker split into two sections ready with one of the squares having a piece of chocolate on it. Place the marshmallow on top of the chocolate bar and use the other cracker to assist in sliding the marshmallow off the stick. Now place the cracker on the marshmallow and enjoy.
