Swiss Steak 4 beef cube steaks, or 1 beef round steak, cut into pieces Sliced onions Salt Pepper Flour 1 large can tomato sauce or 1 large can tomato soup
Heat vegetable oil in pan. Season cube steaks with salt and pepper; spread flour to cube steaks; add to pan and brown on both sides. Add sliced onions to pan; cook until onions are translucent. Remove steaks from pan to plate; add tomato sauce or soup and about 1/2 can of water; mix until combined thoroughly. Return steaks to pan and continue cooking for about 30 minutes. Reduce heat to simmer- simmer for about 1 1/2 hours. Enjoy!!
This Beef Stew Recipe is for the slow cooker.
2 to 2 1/2 pounds beef stew meat 2 to 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed 1 can diced tomatoes 1 can mixed vegetables 1 medium onion, cut into cubes Any other vegetable you want salt/pepper to taste
Add stew meat to slow cooker; add potatoes, tomatoes, mixed vegetables, and any vegetable you want to add. Add just enough water to cover meat and vegetables; add salt and pepper. Cook on low for about 6-9 hours or 5-7 hours on high. This is also great served over cooked noodles. Enjoy!!!!
Beef Pot Roast This can be also made in the slow cooker
1 2-3 pound beef tender pot roast 2-3 potatoes, peeled and cubed 1 medium onion, peeled and cubed 1 small package baby carrots 1 stalk celery, chopped coarsely 1 can diced tomatoes Salt/Pepper
Put beef pot roast in slow cooker; add vegetables and tomatoes. Add enough water to cover meat and vegetables. Add salt and pepper. Cook on low for about 7 to 8 hours or 5-6 hours on high. You can serve this with corn bread or a nice green salad. Delicious!!
Enjoy!!! Any leftover pot roast can be shredded and made into beef barbecue. Just shred remaining pot roast and just add about 1/4 to 1/2 cup prepared barbecue sauce. Just heat thoroughly and serve on hamburger buns with a side of cole slaw and potato chips.
