Fried Cabbage Recipe

This is a great summer recipe especially if you have fresh cabbage in the garden.

The ingredients that you will need are a fresh head of cabbage shredded, 1/2 pound of bacon cut into 1 inch pieces, a large onion chopped. Salt and pepper to taste.

First fry the bacon until crisp then add the onion and saute it until tender then add the cabbage you may have to let the cabbage cook down a little as it does you can add more until you get it all into the pan. Cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes or until the cabbage reaches the tenderness you prefer. Add salt and pepper to taste.

This goes well with any meat recipe and side dish.
